San Giorgio degli Schiavoni School

There are two interpretation of the canvas painting on the left. The first is that Saint Augustine is embraced by the soft light that illuminates the room from Saint Jerome. While in the second version, Saint Augustine is listening to the voice of St. Jerome. 

Saint George slaying the Dragon - By Carpaccio between 1502 - 1508

The representation of this painting is focus on his strong affixation of the Chivalry. When man were man, strong and courageous.

Here Carpaccio represents the fair knight on a dark horse in the act of piercing, with his long lance, the dragon. The lance divides and balances the painting. The background concise of an exotic imaginary scenery which is a trademark of many of his paintings.
